Australian maintenance client fills hangars of ATB
As with all maintenance operations in Europe, winter time is the peak period of activity, and that’s also true for our 100% subsidiary Austrian Technik Bratislava (ATB). Reason for this is that we and other airlines in Europe increasingly shift the maintenance to winter months to make best use of our aircraft in summer. In the Southern hemisphere this is the same problem, but there, winter takes place in our summer months. Alliance Air Services, an Australian regional airline, operate the largest Fokker 100 fleet worldwide. Despite the 14.000km long ferry flights it is worthwhile for Alliance Air to maintain their aircraft at ATB in Bratislava.
„Thanks to the order of our Australian customer Air Alliance we manage to complement our service, which is used by our European clients especially in winter. This is because the Australians need the maintenance service in the summer months, when our capacities were not entirely utilized so far. For the productivity and competitiveness of ATB this is an important step. Apparently our expertise and quality are appreciated also ‘down under‘.“
